Strengths: He is a powerful and flexible tactician, capable of adjusting seamlessly to any given combat situation. Expertly cunning, combining this with his expertise of flash steps and expertise in hand to hand this makes him a formidable opponent. He is a big fan of kido and has studied it throughout the years. So much so that he has become a kido expert. He is a quick learner but most of all he knows how to follow as well as how to lead.

Weaknesses: His lack of being able to win a fight with sheer brute force alone. Using raw power is something he isn’t very good at, which is why he uses cunning to win fights.

Personality: Susaku is a very docile and gentle person, always known for giving sweet smiles that will always make a person feel welcome, yet has the unique trait that tells people he can take care of himself in dangerous situations. He likes to listen more than he likes to talk, but when he does speak it is always direct and has a point. His determination and willingness to help others is something that has always put him in danger, always risking his own life for the sake of others and will never endanger an innocent’s life to accomplish a task. Because of this some would say he is cursed with a good heart. On his free time he will often be found training and mediating, showing that he is not a rash person.

History: Susaku’s story begins with the death of his family. When he was born, Susaku was blessed with a strong spiritual energy, attracting the attention of many spirits as all humans with strong spirit energy do. However on a cold and rainy night, Susaku’s spirit energy attracted the attention of hollows. In a mad pursuit to feast on the young boy’s spirit energy the hollows slaughtered the family leaving nothing behind. Just as it seemed that Susaku would suffer the same fate as his family, a soul reaper by the named Reynard Valentine rushed to his aid. Outnumbered by hollows, the soul reaper still fought on and destroyed the hollows. However one hollow in particular managed to escape, carrying something along with it. Left alone with a destroyed home, slaughtered parents and a 3 year old baby Susaku, Reynard did the unthinkable and brought Susaku to the soul society. Despite facing severe consequences by the soul society, the soul reaper Reynard went on to adopt Susaku and raised him as he was his own. As Susaku grew up, he begged his adoptive father to allow him to become a soul reaper and become just like him. After many attempts his father was finally persuaded into allowing Susaku to become a soul reaper. As a condition however, Reynard instructed Susaku to not only attend the soul reaper academy but to train under him as well. Still being human however, Reynard severed his son’s chain a fate in an attempt to unlock his soul reaper powers, an attempt that was dangerous. During the painful ordeal Susaku almost fell susceptible to becoming a hollow but he managed to fight on and finally attain his soul reaper powers. From that moment on Reynard trained Susaku to control his soul reaper powers, taking him to the academy to better tone his abilities, becoming the first human in the soul society to officially become a soul reaper. As the years passed, Susaku went on to graduate the academy, where he went on to join the 5th division and eventually became Lieutenant.

Name:Zuriukitsune (Cunning Fox)

Zanpakuto's Element: kidou

Sealed form: Susaku’slooks like a traditional Japanese blade designed to look like a part of its sheath [link] , bearing no guard. With a clear black colored bamboo sheath and hilt, contrasts with the sword’s white blade. In essence it’s a wooden sword with the metal blade hidden inside.

Zanpakuto's Spirit: Kitsune. Given the name Kitsune is a female fox spirit with a human form that has fox like characteristics like ears and a tail. Her body is slender as well as curvy. Being the flirtatious type, Kitsune always likes to make a move on Susaku, often asking Susaku for more attention and likes to tease Susaku whenever his life is in danger. Along with that she is a practical joker and troublemaker, her mission in life seems to be to ensure that things never get too dull her or Susaku.

Shikai

Shikai Release Words: Adapt Zuriu Kitsune

Shikai Appearance: The blade maintains its same size and shape. With the only difference is that instead of the sheath and hilt has turned white. Along with the addition of a black string at the base of the hilt which is tied to a packet of grey tarot cards at his disposal.

Shikai Ability: Unlike most Shikai, ZuriuKitsune (Susaku’s Zanpakuto) doesn’t necessarily draw its power from the blade itself but from the cards attached to the base of the hilt. Being a kidou based Zanpakuto Susaku must recite an incantation in order to unlock a card’s full ability and with different a verbal commands the card will change color. Often times the card will either be wrapped around his hand or it will be swiped along the blade of his Zanpakuto.

Orange Card (Normal): “Riatsu sekisho”.
ability:With this command the tarot card will create a small temporary barrier around Susaku as a defensive measure against attacks.

Violet Card (Lightning): “I call upon the hammer of godly lightning. Volt grant me thy power!”
ability: With this command Susaku’s hand or sword will be encased with lightning and shock those he hits. With focus, Susaku can concentrate the lightning on his hand or blade and throw it lightning at his enemies.

Dark Blue Card (Ice): “I call upon the decipher of everlasting ice, Celsius grant me thy power.”
ability: With this command Susaku’s hand or sword will be encased with ice and will freeze a small area it touches in ice. In a fight it could be like a hand or part of a leg. When he punches or swings his blade, shards of ice are launched at the enemy.

Yellow Card (Earth): “I call upon the servant of mother Earth, Gnome grant me thy power.”
ability:With this command Susaku’s hand or sword will be encased in stone, increasing it's weight and density allowing him to make heavy strikes. As a defensive measure, his hand and forearm become as hard as diamond (type of rock) to block agiasn't an opponent's blade.

Red Card (Fire): “I call upon the red giant, the ruler of hellfire. Efreet grant me thy power.”
ability:With this command Susaku’s hand or sword will be encased in fire, burning everything he punches. When he punches he releases a flame fox from his fists that shoots out like a flame thrower. A similar thing happens when he swings his sword.

White Card (Light): “I call upon the life of the heavens, the symbol of hope. Luna grant me thy power.”
ability: This will cause Susaku's hand and sword to emanate a bright white light. When he punches gathers energy and releases it in a burst of light energy. Or as a shining blade when he swings his sword.

Green Card (Wind):” I call upon the heavenly messenger, the ruler of the sky. Sylph grant me thy power”
ability: When susaku uses this command his hand or will be encased in a with a green aura. When he swings his sword, small blades of wind come from his sword. When he punches a small gust of wind will be unleashes from his hand.

Blue Card (Water): “I call upon the maiden of the mist, I summon thee. Come Undine.”
ability: When Susaku says this chant, his sword becomes like that of a whip made of water. For when he punches his fist launches a strong stream of water (similar to hydro cannon from pokemon.)

Black Card (Darkness): “I call upon the envoy of the dark Abyss. I summon thee. Come Shadow.”
ability: When Susaku does this, his blade turns black and when he throws it at his opponent’s shadow, temporarily keeping the person from moving but can still attack. When he gathers energy in his hand, he punches and releases a powerful burst of dark energy.
